Not many Lebanese supporters joined us on daily basis, even in big cities like Beirut. This was a Syrian woman, a refugee, who joined us especially for this evening. The war in neighboring Syria has sparked an influx of refugees into Lebanon equal to around one quarter of the country's population. The United Nations has registered more than 1 million Syrian refugees, though the actual numbers are known to be much higher. In some towns in Lebanon, there are now more Syrians than Lebanese.
