DAY 198
11.07.2017 Samos, Greece. That was my last day with CMFA on the Greek islands. Civil March for Aleppo, while waiting for the permission to march through Turkey, decided to go to Bulgaria, and later on, to visit Greek islands - Lesvos, Chios and Samos. These islands are among main points on the European migrants/refugees map, with huge refugee centers and new arrivals on weekly basis. What was our purpose on the islands? To wait, to see, to talk, to meet people. We were not journalists nor NGO, nor we were tourists. CMFA was somethng in between, lost on the islands, looking for its identity and further way. After leaving Bulgaria the team was strongly reduced in numbers - we were only few, to carry the flag. And the once taken decision to focus the march efforts on the peace issue, (instead of both peace and refugees isue), was completely abandoned and we immersed in the refugees issue, more than anything else.
