DAY 186
29.06.2017 Chios, Greece. Two long-exposure night photographs of CMFA 4-wheels base "Habibti", near Glaroi Beach, Chíos, Greece. These extemely hot (up to 42 degrees in the shadow) days (and nights) were a test for our endurance to high temperature. It was such a relief in the early morning, before the sunrise, to feel even a slight bit of cold wind. Since the Civil March always looked for a cost-free place od stay, it was rather hard to find one in a touristic place, like Chios. So we camped outside the city, in wilderness, next to a water pump station. The place looked like a desert from a Mad Max movie set rather than a heavenly beach of Greece. No shower, no wifi, goats as noisy morning stars but an amaizing view and no one around. Sleeping two person on the roof, 3 inside, on the basic level. As soon as the sun started to heat it was obvious that we have to leave the place before nine o'clock. "Habibti" (Arabic "sweetheart") was one of Civil March For Aleppo cars. This beautiful and cute Volkswagen Transporter was donated to the march by Adam, a huge hearted doctor from Poland. It served as mobile office, transport shuttle, conference room, sleeping and last but not least, party place.
